Nyons - La Para Villa is secretly tucked within the village

If you've been looking for an authentic French Villa in a 14 century real living village, La Para is the right choice for you. As I followed the owner down the little roadway to the drive, I just didn't know what I would see. I did hear tell that it was the biggest villa in downtown Nyon. What I found was that it certainly was large enough for a big family. This precious villa sleeps 7 very comfortably. With 2 double beds, 2 twin beds and 1 super single French bed with comfortable mattresses and lovely linens. There's a tuckaway mattress under the stairway for a childhood adventure too. With 4 up-to-date bathrooms, each bedroom has their own privacy. Step out of your bedroom or kitchen directly onto a terrace. It just doesn't get better than this.

The authentic French salon and dining furniture is comfy and very tasteful. All original books and paintings remain on the walls. Raphael, who will greet you, also owns and operates the local Vinegar Factory.

This little paradise has 3 lovely terraces, a large private swimming pool, swingset for children in one of the garden areas and even a small wading pool. The kitchen is fully equipped and completely renovated. All four provencal bathrooms are very different one to the other and also completely new. Let's take a tour.

A private little passageway leads you out of the garden and to a gate very close to the street leading to the main street of Nyons. You will find within walking distance, the aquapark, olive museum, the veille village, aquapark, tennis and boule courts,14th Century Roman Bridge, chateau, and olive factory museum, a lavender distillery and so much more. When you are in town, be sure to head down to the XIV century Roman Bridge, (Roman Pont). Here you can do vinegar and olive oil tastings. Raphael (owner of La Para) has good reason to be smiling in the photo below. Folks from around the world have discovered his vinegar and just cannot be without it. A true Nyonsais experience. I understand that he also offers feasts matching vinegar and dining.

Let's take a tour.
